  • WELCOME!

    • O Lord open my lips and my mouth shall declare your praise.

This is the beginning of day for the Monks of Portsmouth Abbey, thus we enter into a new day of Prayer and Work.

O God come to my assistance, O Lord make haste to help me.

We continue to pray together by gathering 3 more times in the Abbey Church.

The HOLY MASS or HOLY EUCHARIST, or as it is called in the East, HOLY QURBANA, is the central part of our life. We draw our strength to live this life and love our neighbours from this and use the same grace to lead us towards GOD.

We are celebrating 100 years of devotion on this Narragansett Bay. Continue to pray for us as we look forward to more exciting times at the service of the Holy Catholic Church.

Our primary work is prayer and our apostolate is the Portsmouth Abbey School. We do accomodate our guests with Benedictine Hospitality by welcoming them as Christ.

We invite you to explore our website and encourage you to contact us for any prayer requests, thanksgivings and questions.
