Dear Friend,

That the Word may go forth! Our Lord himself called us to be the Light of the World. Our monastery, now past its 100 ^th year as a community, as we tend to follow more traditional methods of communication, slowly our Abbey's name and mission have gotten lost in the busy-ness of the world. As one of the very few communities of monks in the New England area, we realize that it has become crucial for us to let the world know more about us and the work we are doing, and for the monastic voice to be heard. In particular, we are anxious for more people to know, both locally and worldwide, about our life of prayer – to know that we are praying for them and that they may join that prayer. And we need your help to bring them the Good News of Jesus Christ.

“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
