  • Farewell, Winter
    • March 20th this year marks the equinox, and the first day of spring. This happens to coincide with the return of boarding students to begin the school’s Spring Term. And it nearly coincides with the March 21st Transitus of Saint Benedict, which in fact was displaced for Benedictines by a day, as it landed this year on a Sunday. We celebrate the Transitus here on Monday, March 22nd this year. To mark these transitions, we share some of our photos from 2011 of well-wintered statues of saints, together with images from this winter, all currently posted on our Facebook page.
