Holy Week

We look forward to this year's celebration of Holy Week, beginning this weekend with Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion. The liturgies for this Sunday and for the Holy Triduum will gratefully be open, with the School in attendance. While protocols and distancing remain in effect, we will see a marked difference from last year's services which were available only online.

The notion of "quarantine" has held a significant place in medical history and in church history, and has taken on added significance during our year of pandemic. It has historically referred to isolations, penances, but also to indulgences. And this year, "quarantine" has been experienced universally, throughout the world and throughout the church. As the quarantine of Lent reaches its terminus, the church also looks forward to the gradual loosening of pandemic restrictions.
